The Slam: Slammables

Prison

by fightingdragons, Middle Earth

There might as well

Be locks

On the doors

And chains around our legs

And

Plexiglas windows

Between

Us

And

Them

And telephones

That messages get lost in

Because

If there were

Then maybe

Someone would see

That nothing had changed

And

That they’ve been there all along

But now

At least

Everyone else

Can

See

Them

tooThere might as well

Be locks

On the doors

And chains around our legs

And

Plexiglas windows

Between

Us

And

Them

And telephones

That messages get lost in

Because

If there were

Then maybe

Someone would see

That nothing had changed

And

That they’ve been there all along

But now

At least

Everyone else

Can

See

Them

too

There might as well

Be locks

On the doors

And chains around our legs

And

Plexiglas windows

Between

Us

And

Them

And telephones

That messages get lost in

Because

If there were

Then maybe

Someone would see

That nothing had changed

And

That they’ve been there all along

But now

At least

Everyone else

Can

See

Them

too

Author's Note: Yay, my first poem here!
I actually found this a bit back. I wrote it in 6th grade and couldn't
help being amused by it. Enjoy my angsty 6th grade poetry!
