Call for Submissions: Crush
Deadline: January 15, 2014
A crush is an itch. An agitation. An impulse. We have romantic crushes, friend crushes, brain crushes, even food crushes; we crush on slam poets, celeb scientists, pumpkin spice, that jacket, those boots, that shade of lipstick. A fantasy world can be the object of a crush (steampunk, anybody?).
Look at it sidelong, and a crush is trivial: "it's just a crush." But infatuation is perilous. It can kill your cool and short your brain: we'll do mad things in pursuit of a crush. Flirt and you open a door. And there's no knowing what will happen next.
Send us poetry, fiction, essay, satire, and comics on CRUSH at Submittable. Include the word "crush" in front of your title to be considered.
Call for Creative Endeavors: Animals
Send us your finest poetry & art on animals by Jan. 31, 2015. Visit our Submittable page to enter the contest!
